The ongoing generosity of the local community has helped us to compete at national and international level since Achill Pipe Band was established in 2007. Located as we are on the West Coast of Ireland, our travel costs are substantial on a year by year basis, with instrument and uniform costs adding up to a pretty penny.
This is an exciting time, with the launch of a Grade 4B band to include graduates from the Achill School of Piping & Drumming, and members of local village bands. It involves significant additional costs but will both benefit the local pipe bands from where we all come, and help ensure the future of Achill Pipe Band as an organisation.
Friends of Achill Pipe Band is a new initiative for 2016 to appeal to the Achill and wider Irish diaspora who are spread to the 4 corners of the globe to help us continue on our journey.Each donor will be listed on our Friends of Achill Pipe Band page as an acknowledgement and small thank you for their generous support (or kept confidential if they so wish). The amount of any donation is at your discretion and is greatly appreciated.
