Our new Grade 4B made its competitive debut at the recent Mayo Fleadh in Ballinrobe and were crowned Champions on the day. The culmination of 3 years hard work we look forward to seeing much more from this group over the coming years.
Credit is due to both Joh McNamara (Piping Instructor) and Cian McNamara (Drumming Instructor for the sterling work they have done to date in getting the band to this point. More members are due to join the ranks shortly and with a strong foundation such as this, the future of Achill Pipe Band is looking very bright indeed!

2016 is an exciting year for Achill Pipe Band as we prepare for another season, continue developing our own players via the Achill School of Piping and Drumming, and most importantly, look forward to launching our new Grade 4B Band.

As 2016 and the new season beckon, Achill Pipe Band are looking to recruit experienced pipers and drummers to play in Grade 3B. Now well established in the grade we are ambitious and looking to progress, with a solid local membership as a foundation to build on.
We are also recruiting for our new Grade 4B band for those interested in competing at that level, as we look to secure the future of the organisation in developing our own players.Anyone interested is encouraged to contact us via our facebook page or alternatively have a chat with any of our members
